Surface Decontamination and Evaluation

Each paint correction service at Saltire Detailing ATX starts with a complete and comprehensive paint decontamination procedure. In fact, to further enhance the visibility of your paintwork’s quality we even include our light exterior detailing package! In the spirit of the "measure twice, cut once" philosophy, we conduct an additional inspection following the full paint decontamination. This extra step ensures that hidden issues, sometimes masked by dirt or dust, are not overlooked before we commence the correction process.

Light Abrasion to Level Defects

Once we have carried out a thorough review of the paint surface, we kick off the compounding stage of our paint correction packages! Utilizing specialized abrasive pads and paint correction equipment, we carefully remove a thin layer of your vehicle's clear coat. This may sound unfavorable; however, this action is absolutely necessary in eliminating any surface flaws and bringing your vehicle's finish back to life. During this stage, we use safe compounds that allow for a uniform and precise cut, while ensuring we do NOT strip the vehicle’s clear coat down to the actual paint.

Polishing, JEWELING and the Immaculate Results

After our trained team has successfully eliminated the imperfections from your vehicle’s clear coat, the next steps are to polish and jewel. Leaving your vehicle at the compounding stage is NOT an option as residual dust from this phase will only obscure your true vehicle finish. By polishing and jeweling, we clear away any haze, giving your clear coat a shine and luster it did NOT have before!
